Google Celebrates Anniversary of the First Ascent of Mount Everest

I have been super busy lately, thus the lack of posting on this blog. So, while I was about to retire to my soft bed for the night, I switched back to iGoogle once more out of habits, the Google Doodle caught my attention.

Google Doodle: Anniversary of the first ascent of Mount Everest

The latest Google doodle was created to celebrate the anniversary of the first confirmed successful ascent of Mount Everest, which happened on May 29, 1953 by Edmund Hillary of New Zealand and Sherpa Tenzing Norgay from Nepal.
